About us

The Aquatic Training Center (ATC) offers an Olympic size swimming pool measuring 50 meters in length and 25 yards in width. Our pool’s water temperature is between the range of 78°- 82°F allowing us to offer year-round lap swimming, Masters swim team and youth programs.
The 2021 Olympic Gold Medalist Women’s Water Polo team presently uses our facility.  In addition, several other user groups from the community reserve hours throughout the week.

Lap and Recreation Swim

All swimmers must sign-in at the Aquatic Office. Military swim for free (Active Duty, Retiree, Dependent). All Military & Veterans are required to show a valid identification card.

Military FREE with Valid CAC/ DoD ID
Veterans Discount – must provide Valid ID/ DD-214

Swim tests will be given at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty. A swim test consists of 25 yard front crawl. Any person unable to successfully complete the swim test will be required to have adult supervision in the water at all times (mandatory for children under the age of 3 years old).

This pass includes a total of 10 visits and expires 60 days from the date purchased. This pass is considered a family pass and can be shared between people. The number of visits used will be determined by many how people over the age of 3 swim.

Aquatic Training Center Masters

ADULT TEAM  The Aquatic Training Center Masters swimming team is offered to all athletes ages 18 and older. This year-round program can help with your technique, fitness and competitive goals. Masters coaches will help you with pool etiquette, terminology, pace clocks, stroke technique, developing personal workout plans, and become familiar with swim equipment.

Water Aerobics

ADULT FITNESS  Our 1-hour deep water aerobics class is designed for all levels, incorporating high-intensity intervals, increasing core body strength, building stamina and endurance, while developing flexibility. Water X Instructors provide a well-rounded workout that combines cardio, stretching, and strength training exercises, with clear communication and demonstration of the exercises.

Water-X Card: Card includes a total of 10 visits and expires in 90 days. Punch Card is required to be presented upon signing in. MWR Aquatic Training Center is not responsible for lost or stolen Water-X punch cards.

Lifeguard Class Sign Up’s

Upon completing this course all participants will be Red Cross Lifeguard Certified. This certification includes Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid. The requirements for this class are as follow:

Must be 15 years of age on or before the last session of the course

Swim 300 yards, continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both, but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used.

Tread water for 2 minutes, using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under the armpits.

Complete a timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds:
■ Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. Swim goggles are not allowed.
■ Surface dive, feet-first or headfirst, to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
■ Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object and keeping the face at or near the surface in order to breathe (or to get a breath)
